Job Overview
- Jeebly is looking for an Intern to join our quality assurance team. As a OA Intern, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products to our clients. This internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about software testing and eager to gain hands-on experience in a real-world development environment.
Key Deliverables:
- Create & execute test cases and scenarios to identify software defects and ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers, to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Document and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data for various software applications and features.
- Participate in test case reviews and contribute constructive feedback to enhance test coverage and effectiveness.
- Perform regression testing to validate bug fixes and ensure the stability of software releases.
- Conduct exploratory testing to discover issues that might not be captured by existing test cases.
- Report and track defects using designated bug tracking tools, monitoring their status throughout the bug lifecycle
- Assist in setting up testing environments and configurations as required.
- Provide support in test data preparation and maintenance.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Testing techniques and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify, isolate, and document defects effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate testing findings clearly.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues during testing.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools and test management systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with programming languages and scripting languages is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Prior experience with any testing framework or exposure to automated testing is a bonus.
- Experience using bug tracking and requirements tracking tools such asJIRA etc.
